When you sew the elastic on the pointe shoe are you so post to fold over the elastic so it won't fray?

or are you just so post to sew it on flat? I have the invisible bloch elastics.

for elastics..I just sew them on flat. elastics don't fray too easily.

for the ribbons however, I do a box stick on the inside of the shoe to the ribbons. and then i put clear nail polish on the ends that I am tying with. works great!
